Plug & Light is a defined interface that unites light control and power supply.
Combined with suitable luminaires, Plug & Light guarantees reliable, effective and easy-to-control interior lighting. From monochrome dimming with a colour temperature of 2700k through to warmdim (2700 - 4000k). The open system fits into all standard wall boxes commercially available in European countries. It not only redefines the way interior lighting is controlled – it also introduces a totally new way of handling the corresponding luminaires. Installing a Plug & Light luminaire is beautifully simple: the luminaires are docked to the socket with a magnet. Once fitted, each luminaire can be smoothly turned through 360° and can even be
exchanged during operation.
 

Plug & Light structure

The open system consists of a flush-mounted device, a frame and a central plate in the selected switch design and a light attachment. Plug & Light fits into every standard European wall box and can be easily installed. It is extremely flexible, communicates directly with the docked light attachment thanks to the defined interface, and adapts to the light’s abilities.
Flicker-free dimming is supported from cold white to “warm dim”. The various light attachments are secured magnetically. They can all be rotated through 360° with no mechanical stop and can be replaced at any time. Painted in the stainless steel or aluminium metal designs and in white or black plastic, the attachments have a particularly elegant effect.

Plug & Light is a package of the competences of Insta, JUNG, Gira and Brumberg. Plug & Light combines lighting sockets and luminaires using magnetic inserts. With lamp attachments that can be individually added and that share a standardised interface. More flexible lighting design is hardly possible.
