Private house, Cesis

A fusion with the topography

In the north of Latvia, near the Gauja national park, the Latvian OUTOFBOX firm of architects has realised a unique project: a house embedded in the picturesque surrounding hilly landscape. The property is an impressive building of glass and exposed concrete that integrates itself organically in the terraced terrain.

The appeal of its interior is in its open spaces, with the living room open to the upper floor. Sleeping and working areas as well as bathrooms are connected via a gallery. A special feature here is the panoramic view over the Gauja river valley that can be enjoyed from all the areas.

This private house is equipped with the classic LS 990 switches in anthracite.
