Ministry of Finance in Berlin, Germany

Historical and urban restoration

The German Ministry of Finance building in Berlin reflects the history of Germany as does hardly any other building in Berlin. It was built in 1935/36 to the plans of architect Ernst Sagebiel. With a working area of 56.000 m² and more than 2,100 rooms inside it the structure is one of the biggest office complexes in Berlin. After comprehensive restoration work the Ministry of Finance moved its headquarters there from Bonn to Berlin in 1999.
The electric installation in this historic building includes the classical LS 990 switches from JUNG.
