Private house in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Germany

This house on a compact residential area of 110 m² achieves an efficient use of space and combines various styling elements.

On the one hand there was a desire for clear shapes, down to earth materials in the Bauhaus style, and a flat roof. On the other hand there is this vision of traditional forms, an overhanging roof and the use of wood and other natural materials.
This new construction was built to comply with the current low energy standards at the explicit wish of both builders.
